Keeping Your Green Space Green

The Town of Milton has published a new brochure (available online at www.milton.ca) to help educate and inform Milton residents about the importance of protecting the Town’s parklands and green spaces.  As a resident of Milton, you can do your part too!  Always use environmentally friendly, organic treatments on lawns and gardens.  Leave grass clippings on your lawn.  Recycle compost into your garden and or take full advantage of the new Green Cart waste program.  Plant native plants if your property is near a natural area.  Keep water from your downspout on your property.  Sending water from downspouts to open space areas is considered trespassing.  Consider using a rain barrel to collect water for your garden. Clean up after your pets…in your yard and in public spaces.
